New York caps how many stores Tesla may run in the state, so many buyers order online and take delivery at one of a handful of locations. The Drive Clean Rebate is still the state’s main purchase incentive, but it is tied to an MSRP cap and an eligible-model list, so check the specific trim before you count on it.
Charging is where New York splits in two. In the city, many owners have no driveway and rely on Superchargers and garages, which costs far more per mile than home charging. Upstate, with a garage and a Level 2 charger, running costs are low even though winters cut range noticeably.
